Serene Desert Guest House

The 525 sqft guest suite is set back on one acre of quiet, lush desert with indigenous wildlife, fresh air and starry nights and is located on the first floor of our two story home. This furnished (or not if preferred) one bedroom suite has a... medium/firm foam spring free Sealy California King sized bed. An occasional guest can sleep in the living room on a couch that opens up into a full sized bed. Just off of the bedroom is a bathroom with a bathtub/shower and it has a window to bring in sunlight and fresh air.

The kitchenette has an induction electric stove top, a toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, pots, pans, blender, rice cooker, dishes and cutlery. The living room has a loveseat couch and a 32" Tv with access to Netflix and other streaming and local channels.
The guest suite has its’ own private entrance located around the side of the main house and the entryway is through a private sun room. Also, there is a charcoal grill available for your enjoyment. Our guests can use the family swimming pool and it’s available from mid April through mid October. Uncovered parking, shared laundry, electricity, water, garbage
pickup, and high speed Cox Gigabit WiFi are also included.

We clean the apt with eco-friendly and non toxic products. The walls are painted with low VOC paint. The newly laid flooring is wood laminate. Also the water is filtered throughout the house.

This wholesome one bedroom suite is located 5 minute drive to a Safeway grocery store and St Mary’s hospital, a 10 minute drive to hiking trials, and a 12 to 15 minute drive to the University of Arizona.

To clarify: this is our family home and we live up in the 2nd story and the guest suite for rent is located on the first floor, west side of the house. Keep in mind that although we are in a quiet semi-rural area and you will notice some muffled house noises occasionally.

Your hosts, Dan, Teresa and their son, who’s currently a student at UofA, are long time Tucson residents and are happy to share their knowledge of the desert and the Southwest’s attractions.
